Friends frequently ask me for advice on buying a camera. I invariably ask a couple of questions, what’s the budget and use for the camera. I give them a range of suggestions, with links to related product reviews, and let them make up their own minds.
I’m not one to evangelize any particular product over another. I’m a firm believer that you need to find the product, service, etc. that best suits you.
I have one exception to the above personal rule. Evernote. It doesn’t matter the context, if I’m talking about note-taking apps, I’m talking about Evernote.
I someone asks for advice about note-taking software, I tell them Evernote. If someone uses another note-taking package, I try and convince them to switch to Evernote. I’ve people ask how I organize information of plan events, I tell them, Evernote.
Evernote works!
If you’re not familiar with Evernote, check out the video below. Steve Dotto, Canada’s tech guru, gives a great hands-on introduction to Evernote. After you’ve watched the video, go and set up an Evernote account. No need to thank me.
