Summer Solstice 2008 – Edmonton Alberta
It’s become a bit of a tradition for me to post a picture taken late in the day on June 21 to show how much daylight we get up this way. Having just spent a week in the Arctic, it seems a little hollow by comparison. Last week in Iqaluit, it did not get dark at all through the night.
I took this picture last evening sometime just after 22:00 from the hill at Gallagher Park, looking toward downtown.
