Start Right to Make it Right

The responsibility for planning and living a successful life falls on you. The burden of shaping your life, is on your shoulders. The sooner you realize this, the better. The question to ask yourself is, “what can I do right now to get my life moving in the direction I want?”
If you believe you have potential to do more, stop making excuses and start living life today. If you are on the verge of giving up, or are sick and tired of being mediocre, make a decision to start winning.
You don’t have to be stuck in a rut or hounded by feelings of under achievement. Believe in yourself. You can make something of your life.
Ask these important life-management questions:
1. What do you want to do with your life? This is one of the most important questions you will ever answer. The answer will lay the foundation upon which you can build.
Once you have identified what you want to do with your life, it becomes the focus of everything you plan to do. Knowing what you want to do, gives clarity and a sense of purpose. It also prevents you from being side tracked by activities which do not drive your purpose forward.
2. Why do you want to achieve the things you have chosen? Understanding the importance of your dreams will motivate you to accomplish the goals that you have set for yourself. Why do you want to achieve these goals you have set for yourself? The answers to these questions have to be compelling enough to move you into action.
3. Who do you need to become? Do you need to be more confident? Do you need to be a risk taker? Do you need to be more assertive? Identify the qualities that you need to develop in order for you to achieve your goals. Max Dupree said, “We cannot become what we need to be, by remaining what we are.”
4. How are you going to manage your life as a project? What steps do you need to take to achieve your objectives? Do you have a plan? You need tools to help tie together all the pieces of the “project” that is you.
The plan becomes the map to your goal. It will show you what information you require to make each phase of your life a success.
5. When do you want to reach your goal? Every goal must have a deadline. You plan must have milestones, which turn action into tangible results. When are you going reach the goals you have defined? When will the project be finished?
Your life is a DIY project. If you want your dreams to become reality, start taking action today.
