Import Google Notebook Notes into Evernote

Evernote has added an option to import Google Notebook notes via Atom XML format. The process takes a few steps. If you have a lot of notes in multiple notebooks, it will take awhile to import them all. I had about 400 notes in six notebooks and it took 15 or so minutes to import.

Recently, Google announced that they were stopping development on Google Notebook. We’re big fans of Google Notebook, in fact many of used it before Evernote came along. When we heard the news, we immediately began work on a Google Notebook import tool. Today, it’s ready. So, all of you Google Notebook users can now easily bring your notes, labels, and sections right into Evernote.

Very cool. This is capitalism at work and it is great to see. The users come out unscathed and Evernote benefits from the new users. Love it!
