Getting the Most Out of Twitter

I’ve had a Twitter account for a couple of years. While I’m not realizing it’s full potential, I’m still getting a lot of benefit from Twittering. Over the past few weeks, I’ve helped some of my colleagues get up and running with the service. Here are a few of the links to which I refer new Twitter users:
- The Newbies Guide to Twitter – from Cnet
- From Micheal Hyatt, CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing:
- Eight Ways Twitter is Useful Professionally – Web Worker Daily has eight tips on putting Twitter to work turning loose connections into professional relationships.
- Five ways to use Twitter – from Stepcase Lifehack
- Six Twitter power tips – 10 tips to enhance your Twitter use from Christopher Penn. (I know the post title says six, but he’s updated the post with further tips.)

- Putting Twitter Where My Mouth Is – Mike talks Twitter and social media with Wayne Hurlbert.
- Newbie’s guide to Twitter – A good Twitter how-to article for those just getting started.
- Update: As Michael Deutch notes in the comment below, I missed linking to a good Twitter resource list –or map, in this case. A couple of weeks ago, Michael posted a MindManager map of Twitter information and tools. I did download and review the map and intended to include it in this list. It’s available in two formats: one for MindManager and one for Adobe Reader.

Great resources. I’ve also pulled together an interactive mind map of Twitter resources which may be of interest. You can check it out here: http://is.gd/kyuZ
