Organizing Tip: Define the Problem

A big part of being organized is being able to define the problem at hand. Just jumping into a solution, rarely works. There may be a dozen different solutions. Only one of those will work best for you.
To find the best solution, you need to have the problem clear in your mind. A problem clearly defined, is 50% solved.
Ask questions. Say your office is cluttered, ask yourself:
- How did my office get so cluttered?
- Who all contributes to the clutter?
- What are my systems for completing projects, going through mail, filing, etc?
- How much time do I currently invest in keeping the clutter out of my office?
Once you come up with some answers to your questions, the solution should begin to appear. Keep this in mind when it comes to your organizing projects, and any other projects that you may have. If you do, you’re well on your way to being organized.

I love these questions, especially how did it get this way.
Like I should know :0))
I am absolutely sure that I have gremlins who contribute to my clutter.
I also like to ask myself, “Am I insane?”, only a crazy person could collect this much paper! And go through it, year after year…
