Comapping rolls out major update

The on-line mind mapping service Comapping continues to improve by leaps and bounds. Already one of the most feature rich of the on-line services, Comapping has announced one of their most important updates so far. Key focus this time is on collaboration, sharing, printing and navigation.
From Comapping:
We have deployed multiple bug-fix releases on the site over the last few months and have now added additional new and exciting features in the latest update:
COLLABORATION & SHARING
- A redesigned share dialog: Our enhanced share dialog feature makes it easier for everyone to share their comaps.
- Advanced. Send an e-mail with a link for the comap to a mailing list rather than spending time typing each e-mail in the share dialog.
- Remind people. Have you wondered whether people have looked at your map? Now the names are grayed out in the share dialog if your recipients have not opened the map. You can even send reminder e-mails to people who have not opened the map.
- Invitation copy. You can now choose to e-mail yourself a copy of the invitation that you send when sharing a map. That way, if the invitation is lost by your friend or colleague, you can re-send it from you own e-mail account.
- Notifications. Would you like to know when someone has changed your map? Simply click on “Notifications” to receive notification e-mails.
- Change markers. From now on, whenever you open a comap you can see what has been changed, by whom and when since the last time you accessed the map. To hide the change marker, simply click on the advanced tab and then click “Hide change markers”. Alternatively you can right click on the map and select “Hide changes” or use the short cut ‘Ctrl + M’ for hiding the change markers.
INTELLIGENT PRINTING
The printing functionality has been improved so that you can circulate your comaps in paper form to your friends and colleagues. You can now:
- Print the current page that you see on the screen
- Print the entire map, which is intelligently split up across a number of pages
- Print selected topics and subtopics that the user has highlighted on the map
- Print in landscape or portrait form
- Add headers, footers and page numbers
NAVIGATION
- Hot keys. One of our key focuses has always been on making it easy for you to navigate on a comap. For that reason, we have designed Comapping in such a way that nearly all functionalities can be accessed with the keyboard. To see a full selection of short cuts please click here
- Right click menu. If you are a mouse user, you can also access most of the features by right clicking on the map.
- Map view. You can now view the entire map on the screen. To access this feature, simply right click on the map and select “View entire map” and see how your map expands automatically. Alternatively, you can select “Expand all that fits”, which will open up as many branches as possible given the current map zoom settings.
TEMPLATE MAPS
- We have received a tremendous amount of feedback from our users on how they are using comapping at work. As such, we decided to develop a selection of template maps that you may find useful. To view a sample of template maps please click here
PUBLISH MAPS
- We improved the publish map feature, which will allow you to share maps with everyone for those without an account. We have added a zoom slider to the top left corner and some basic navigation functionalities accessible by hot keys and the right click menu. You can find the publish map feature under the advanced tab.
NEW SERVER UPGRADE
- Due to a huge increase in traffic and the increased use of our application, the Comapping application has upgraded to a more powerful server. The server that we are using now as our primary server is hosted by Serverbeach. This is the same service that hosts web sites such as YouTube.
In addition to the above, we have implemented a number of small fixes to improve performance
