Back in November of 2005 I posted links to a number of Christmas Carols and songs with guitar chords. There must be something popular about Christmas singing accompanied by a guitar. I get a bump in web traffic around the end of the year from people searching for chords and lyrics.
It’s off-topic for Ian’s Messy Desk, but I like to bring the links forward each year to help keep them fresh. I’ve made a random check of the links and the sites are still active.
If you’re planning a holiday sing-along, here’s a good collection of carols and songs to get you going:

Thank you Ian that was a very nice little trip through your site.
I was looking for noels to play for the kids.
I’m no Les Paul you understand but I like to strum a little.
thanks Merry Christmas Ian
Could you please find “Do You Hear What I Hear” with words and quitar chords. If possible, it would be nice if you could throw in some piano as well. We would really appreciate it at our church!
Thanks
Lorraine
Thanks for the great chords, the harmonies are excellent. I will use these for the teacher’s Bible study at my school next week. Can’t wait! Thanks again.

Thank you so much!! I just got asked to play in kids’ Sunday School classes AND a church kids Christmas party and had NO guitar music!! I’ll add them to my notebook and use them for years to come. Nice mix of popular and church music. I appreciate the fact that it is free. Dec. 10, 2008

I can’t tell you how happy you made me tonight. My husband is working on Christmas, my daughter will be off with her special bow, and I’ll be home with the dog singing the songs, you so graciously left for so many on your website.Thank you, at least I have that. Merry Christmas, and God Bless you always.
