Basic life rules (from children)
- Share.
- Don’t hit.
- Stay on the path.
- Don’t chew with your mouth open.
- Say “Please” and “Thank you”.
- Don’t burp in public.
- Be nice to old people.
- Put your dishes in the sink.
- Don’t go through red lights.
- Smile.
- Hold hands when crossing the street.
- Don’t pick off scabs
- Brush your teeth.
- Clean your room.
- Listen.
- Don’t use bad words.
- Don’t call names.
- Tell jokes.
- Obey the rules.

I agree that those are some good basic rules — but you don’t learn them from children. You learn them from parents that are hoping at least some of the rules will stick with the children.
