What will you leave behind?

Eric Mack says that blogs can be part of the legacy you leave behind and asks,
“what will these say about you? What kind of legacy will you leave behind?”

He doesn’t leave it there, but goes on to tell us what is important to him and invites us back to his site 15 or 20 years hence to see how things are working out for him and his family.

I was thinking about that just the other day myself. I was imagining a future when instead of the "Diary of Anne Frank" giving us insight to a period in history as observed through the eyes of a participant, that weblogs will do the same on possibly a much grander scale.

It seems every blogger makes some sort of reference to historical events, (Columbia Shuttle Disaster, Iraq War, Reagan Death, etc.) at one time or another on their blog. Webloggers will participate in the recording of history! I think that's cool!
