Next Wednesday is The Salvation Army’s annual general meeting here in Edmonton. As this year is the City of Edmonton’s 100th anniversary, the meeting will be a look at the Army’s activities here over the past 100 years.
I get to sing a solo, 1919 music-hall tune called Don’t Forget The Salvation Army (with Canadianized lyrics). I have been practicing diligently at home. However, every time I start, Riley gets up to be let outside. He then lays by the door until I am finished, then scratches to be let in. I hope the audience is more sympathetic!
