Another Christmas Planning Checklist

Prepare budget and plan projects:
- Figure out how much you are able to spend.
- Once you know what you can spend, determine what you can give in the way of gifts, what kind of entertaining you can do, etc.
- Sit down with the family and decide who does what. Assign the shopping, the decorating, etc.
Check and stock up on gift wrapping supplies:
- tape
- paper
- tissue
- bags
- cards
- packing and shipping supplies
Prepare your greeting cards:
- prepare list
- check addresses
- buy cards
- buy stamps
- include photo
- write note of letter
- stuff, address and mail envelops
Draw up a gift list:
- family
- friends
- co-workers
- children’s friends and teachers
- stocking stuffers
- charitable gifts
Check the decorations:
- indoor decorations
- buy a tree (artificial is best for the environment)
- outdoor decorations
- check lights and replace burned-out bulbs
- music
- firewood
- candles
Prepare for house guests:
- clean and de-clutter spare rooms
- check linens, etc.
Prepare holiday entertaining:
- whose house
- who brings what
- recipes
- serving dishes
- table settings
- clothes for family
- camera
Schedule special activities:
- church
- work
- community
- traditions
- camera charge, bring
- Thanksgiving
- New Year’s Eve or Day
Have a Christmas photo taken:
- clothes
- haircuts
