Lifehack.org lists half-a-dozen ways to use browser bookmarks now that del.icio.us holds what used to get filed there. 6 ways to fall in love with browser’s bookmark again - lifehack.org.
Here are a couple of ways I use my bookmarks:
- Bookmark Toolbar Folder: I free up a little more screen real estate by turning off the bookmark toolbar and accessing bookmarklets from the menu. I also have short cuts set up for some of them. Typing “bl” in the address bar, opens the Bloglines’ subscription bookmarklet for the page I’m visiting.
- Opening multiple tabs: I organize related, frequently-used, bookmarks in folders and use the Firefox “Open in Tabs” feature to open multiple pages at once. E.g., manual pings to Ping-o-matic in one folder or the admin. pages for my blogs in another.
