4 Free Photo Editing Software Options

  1. Google Picasa: Photo gallery software shipped with most digital cameras is clunky and hard to manage. Picasa is the easy way to organize, touch up and share photos.
  2. Irfanview: For basic image editing and image file format conversions, Irfanview is a good choice. It installs quickly, doesn’t take up too much hard drive space and supports dozens of image and video file formats.
  3. The GIMP: If you need the sophistication of Photoshop for image editing, but lack the cash, check out the GNU Image Manipulation Program (the GIMP).
  4. Paint.net: This open-source photo editing application packs tons of muscle into a measly 1.3MB download that doesn’t cost a dime
