Christmas Gift Ideas
We received a “gift” catalogue (pdf) from World Vision Canada a couple of weeks ago. Along with the traditional gifts you might buy for family and friends, you can buy gifts through World Vision that will have a longer-term impact for people in need in other parts of the world. For example you can purchase:
- 2 Ducks $30
- 2 Hens & Rooster $50
- Goat $150
Mike Todd has suggested some other ways that you can make a difference this Christmas, in his post at Waving or Drowning?

If you are looking for gifts that make a difference some green gifts are available on the craft site etsy.com.
Several 'green' vendors provide cute but eco-friendly items. Green Goddesses, a shop on the site, even donates part of the profits to the Nature Conservancy.
