Advent Devotional
VERSE:
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord had made known to us.” —Luke 2: 15
THOUGHT:
The shepherds realized that the message brought to them by the Angels had come from God. God was leading them to the stable in Bethlehem. As we are preparing our hearts through the Advent season, God has been leading us to the true meaning of Christmas, that His Son came to the world to bring us to a personal relationship with God. As we light the fourth Advent candle, let us listen for the message that God is making known to us.
