Fight Low Self Esteem with a Daily Treat

You have a right to feel good about yourself. However, it can be very difficult when you are are not feeling good about yourself or when others are treating you badly. At times like this, it is easy to be drawn into a downward spiral of lower self-esteem.
One small way to way to feel good about yourself is to have a treat everyday. People with low self esteem tend to feel they don’t deserve a treat. They wait until such time as they feel they “deserve” such a treat. And that time rarely comes.
A treat is not the same as a reward. Rewards should be reserved for accomplisments and milestones. A treat is a small, routine way of reminding yourself you are important.
Start planning ways to regularly treat yourself. Have a small treat for each day, a bigger one for each week and a come up with something big once a year: your birthday or New Years, for example.
