Open a document and can’t remember where you left off?
- Shift+F5 to jump to the last place in the document you edited.
If you need to apply the same changes to text throughout your document:
- Select text to change.
- Press Ctrl+D.
- Make changes in Font dialogue box.
- Click OK.
- Select next set of text to alter in the same way.
- Press F4.
You can change the default folder in which Word saves documents:
- Open Word.
- Click Tools.
- Click Options.
- Click File Locations tab.
- Highlight Documents.
- Click Modify.
- Change the Look in option to the drive you wish to use.
- Highlight the folder you want to save your documents in.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
Configure Word to automatically save your documents
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Click Tools, Options.
- Click Save.
- Place a check mark in the box “Save AutoRecover info every”.
- set the time in minutes as desired.
- Click OK
If you have multiple Word documents open, you can quickly cycle through open Documents by pressing CTRL+F6.
Using Watermarks in Word
- Click Format, Background, Printed Watermark.
- Select Text watermark.
- Type the text you want to use or choose from the predefined options.
- Choose your formatting options.
- Click OK.
- Note you can also select an image for a watermark by selecting Picture watermark
