10 Things Plus to Write in Your Notebook
Allen Galbraith shares the different ways he uses his journal. He says,
“I have been a long time fan of using a notebook as a tool for self-improvement, as a journal or just as a place where I can do some brainstorming.”
He then goes on to list 10 ways he uses his notebook.
I have several notebooks on the go at once. Among them I have:
- A business diary: not a calendar– where I track conversations, meetings, telephone messages, etc.
- A kitchen notebook: that I use to record recipe experiments and notes about my coffee roasting.
- A vehicle diary: where I track mileage, service or jot a quick note in the car. A couple of weeks ago, I put it to good use exchanging information after being involved in an accident.
What ways do you use notebooks?

I have my daily organizer where i write things that happen that day, receipt numbers, appointments, meetings and notes.
I also have my visual journal where I write down my thoughts and stick interesting things in there.
I then have my ideas book where I write down my creative ideas.

I always have a notebook with me. In fact, I feel quite lost without one! I tend to use it for shopping lists, book isbn numbers, post ideas, library catalogue codes, website addresses…. the list goes on. I very rarely read over what I write, though. It seems just the act of writing it down etches it into memory. I’ll definitely check out Allen’s post. Thanks!
