Mark 10:43-44
Verse:
Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. Mark 10:43-44
Thought:
Being last to be first? This kind of advice seems completely contrary to the information that bombards us every day. “Look out for number one” is the credo most would associate with getting ahead in life. Not so for the follower of Christ. Our true greatness comes from our willingness to serve. Christ himself, the son of God, came to earth to serve and ultimately to give his life as a ransom for all. We need to reflect Christ’s example, living to serve others.
