Blogging Tip - Design
If you’ve read this blog for any length of time, you’ll know that I have changed my blog design more frequently than some people change their clothes. That’s not necessarily a good thing. How your blog looks play a big part in bringing readers back. If the site is cluttered or the content is difficult to find or the colour scheme makes the text difficult to read, all of these will discourage visitors from repeating.
The K.I.S.S. principle applies; simpler is better. Go for a clean look. Don’t waste your precious screen space. When you are thinking of adding something to your blog’s front page, ask yourself, "how will it benefit my readers and keep them coming back?" If you don’t have a good answer for that, leave it off.
