Is there anything more aggravating than a call from a telemarketer? Probably… but telemarketing calls are in the top ten. While there are , why not have some fun with the process.

The next time your supper is interrupted by that call, try one of these:

this is 5 minutes remedy!! ha ha! Love this ;-)

Many telemarketers cannot hang up the phone. All I do is say uh-huh a few times and leave the phone off the hook.

I’ve picked up the phone before and asked “Can you hang up?” “*laughs* No.” “Well have fun.” I continued about with business while a huge smug cloud formed around my head.

Often these guys need to go ask their supervisors to hang up for them since they don’t have the ability to do so.

I finally got rid of my landline. Even with Caller ID and Call Intercept and being on every “Do Not Call” list I could find, my phone literally rang every 20 minutes during the day. At the time I worked a support job and I was starting to develop an issue with ringing phones. We ditched the landline and went exclusively with cell phones. I haven’t been happier.

One of my favorite telemarketer tactics went like this: “Wow! You sound like a real go-getter! Can I have about an hour of your time? You sound like you’d be perfect for this Amway business I just got into last night. How would you like to be a millionaire in two to five years? Now, imagine some circles on a paper. What would be your dream car…”
