Some ways to keep your family active

Okay… maybe last week’s post on getting ready for back-to-school was a little early. After all, the summer has barely begun. Why not take advantage of the great summer weather to get the family active? The health and fitness of children is a national issue of growing concern among medical professionals.

There is a need to get children (and their parents) more physically active. Often, a barrier to physical activity is the costs associated with participating in a sport or recreational activity. Getting kids active doesn’t have to be cost prohibitive. Here some affordable and fun ways to get kids active so they can enjoy the benefits of exercise.

Turn off the television and unplug the video games. Get the whole family active this summer. Your heart will thank you.

Great ideas for physical activities. With all the new gadgets technology is proving us to have a simpler life, the physical activities we were supposed to have are slowly forgotten.

Nice tips. It’s always great to have a family group activity. It would even be great if done more often. Aside from the health benefits, they are also great in developing family bonds.

The family that plays together… ;)
