Time Management Tip - Use your waiting time
Inevitably, you will find there are times when you have to wait: holding on the telephone, getting in to see the doctor or waiting for meetings to start. Take advantage of these times. Make or review lists, review your schedule, open and sort mail, respond to an e-mail, catch up on some reference reading, etc. Making use of this otherwise down-time can free up blocks of time elsewhere in your schedule.

You can even be productive during layovers. I find that making a to-do list and carrying around a laptop is a great way to stay on top of things if I have a few extra minutes. If I’m already traveling, I’ll review presentations, return emails, research a little bit more about where I’m going, etc.
