Goal-setting software
If you tend to be tech-oriented in your personal management style, you’ll probably find goal-setting software to be a helpful tool. This is a list of some of the products available out there. The description blurb with each product comes from the web-site, not any personal endorsement. These software packages all carry a price tag.
- Ace Project – AceProject is a toolbox that can help organizations to manage multiple projects within one single account. Each project can be structured in a unique way; this allows multiple types of projects to be managed differently, in a central place. Besides, projects can be copied or transformed into templates to be reused later.
- Goal Maker – Understand how to formulate a detailed Action Plan that leads you to successfully achieve all your goals.
- GoalPro – a software-based goal-setting system.
- Life Plan Writer – Life Plan Writer is the only life-goal setting software that incorporates a personality test and personality type-based advice for every part of your life. It’s software that learns you.
- ManagePro – is the award-winning software system for managing objectives, projects, people, time and meetings. It delivers an unparallelled level of visibility and organization across a display of your goals, action plans and results
- Plan Plus – Our PlanPlus™ software line is the heart of our digital solutions. These powerful applications feature the full planning methodologies that FranklinCovey is known for, including prioritized tasks, goal setting, and effective information capture and organization. All PlanPlus software can be synchronized with virtually any PDA. Additionally, we offer a wide variety of accessories, such as binders that hold note pages plus a PDA, that help you build a personalized planning system.
Single-Step – single-step software can help you learn to motivate yourself.

A couple months ago I searched the net with a fine comb trying to find good goal-setting software. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything that didn’t look like an infomercial.
The only good web apps I found were LifeTango for long-term goals, and Joe’s Goals for tracking microgoals.

I also use ZenHabit’s great system of using small stones and big stones, so that I accomplish at least a small step towards my goals each day.
You definitely should add GoalEnforcer to your list

They have a cool new graphical approach to the old goal setting problem.
I also don’t, if you have already checked the tool called Wrike http://www.wrike.com/. It seems to be gaining a lot of publicity now. I’ve been using it for a month now and it really saves me time! I simply love it!

Hi Ian,
(Luv the blog) I don’t know if you’ve profiled it already, but I’ve just discovered Zoho (www.zoho.com) which I like. I have used Ace but I prefer Zoho for project management.
