On-line Scheduling Made Easy
Jiffle is a handy online service that handles the process of scheduling meetings. Jiffle’s technology allows you to selectively share your calendar and availability with contacts and eliminate the time-consuming back-and-forth process often required to set up meetings with colleagues and clients.
Jiffle works with Outlook, Google calendar or you can use the built-in Jiffle calendar. Jiffle automatically updates your MS Outlook or Google calendar in real time. All changes are reflected in Outlook or Google with all your appointments instantly avoiding double booking.
One of Jiffle’s more useful features is integration with WebEx. WebEX is a leading provider of web meetings. WebEx users across multiple companies can use Jiffle to share access to their online calendars, allowing all participants to select the best available meeting times with a single click. Jiffle integrates with WebEx Meeting Center and WebEx Connect. You can now schedule and host meetings on WebEx in one quick step.
Other Features:
- Automated Calendar Sharing in Outlook or Google Calendar. Jiffle selectively shares your calendar with your contacts 24 x 7, and you can insert a link to your Availability Calendar in any email or email signature. You can even insert it on a Webpage. With the Jiffle Outlook toolbar you can insert your link with just one click of a button. Your Availability Calendar can be shared with unlimited contacts if desired.
- Selective Calendar Sharing. You select who views your calendar. Only invited contacts can gain access, and they will see only “Available” time slots. You can categorize your contacts by different groups and offer selective calendar access according to the group designation by pre-determining Available time slots for each group.
- Copy Others on Meeting Requests and Confirmations. Keep others informed or delegate meeting management. Cc up to two additional email addresses on all your meeting requests and confirmations. The Cc email recipients can then confirm meetings on your behalf.
- Group Calendar Sharing. You can group your contacts by priority and preference, setting up Available time slots for different groups based on requirements. Save the daily 9am time slot for the ‘Clients’ group while opening up only the weekend time slots for your ‘Golf Buddies’ group - without showing either group what they shouldn’t see.
- Privacy Protection. No one can access your calendar unless specifically invited by you. Jiffle shows your contacts only those time slots that you’ve marked as Available and displays no information regarding already-scheduled meetings or booked time slots.
- Automated Time Zone Conversion. Available time slots are presented to your contacts in their respective local time zones, and appointments are automatically reconciled by time zone and converted when confirmed by e-mail.
- Limited Time Invite. Share your calendar for a limited time period - seven days, for example - with selected contacts. Your “Available” time slots will be visible for this period only. Limited Time Invites are ideal for vendor appointments, new business relationships and sales prospecting. The contact can view your calendar by simply clicking a link on your e-mail invitation.
If you want to check out Jiffle, sign up for a free account. There are four subscription plans available from free—which limits you to 10 meeting confirmations per month—through to corporate—which is based on a number of users per month.

I’ve been using a more easy tool called ScheduleOnce (www.scheduleonce.com). It’s free, doesn’t require registration, and very neat.
