Discover Your Strengths
Do you know what you do well? You may have found the answer to that question through trial and error. If you’re still trying to find the answer, there is a easier way.
The Clifton Strengths Finder from the Gallup organization –named in honour of the late Donald Clifton– is a 30–minute online test based on the book Now, Discover Your Strengths: How to Build Your Strengths and the Strengths of Every Person in Your Organization. (You need to buy the book to get the key to register online to take the test.)
In StrengthsFinder 2.0, Gallup unveils the new and improved version of its popular assessment, language of 34 themes, and much more (see below for details). Loaded with hundreds of strategies for applying your strengths, this new online program will change the way you look at yourself — and the world around you — forever.

Ian
It is extraordinary that you choose to post about this book this week.
Having previously read Marcus Buckingham’s first book based on the 30 years of Gallup research (First, Break All The Rules) and used its contents in my old job, I am working my way through Now Discover Your Strengths for the second time.
This is because I am now giving a copy of the book to each member of my management team, so we might use the book, the assessments and our learnings as the basis for joint development discussions, training and career planning activities.
This work also links to a recently-completed 6 month management development course we have just completed, of which the Gallup/Clifton/Buckingham work made up a fair portion of the last module.
