Performancing Metrics Back on Track

I was pretty disappointed when it was announced at the beginning of the year that  would end. It was an important part of my blogging toolkit. I dutifully de-PM-ed my blogs and went looking for other tracking services.

They had indicated that Metrics was being released to the open source community and hopefully things would be back on track fairly quickly. Cynically, I took it to mean it was gone forever. I was wrong.

I haven’t been paying close attention, but today I discover —from the comments at this post— that  was working. It took me about three tenths of a second (okay, maybe 45 seconds) to get it up and running again on Ian’s Messy Desk.

If you’re looking for a full-featured tracking service,  is as good as anything out there. (There are free and pay versions available based on site traffic.)
